“Torchwood” Returns for a Sixth and Final Season
The Dr. Who spin-off Torchwood is returning for a sixth and final series.
It has been seven years since Torchwood last aired in 2011. Last year, however, Aliens Among Us was presented as the official fifth season of Torchwood.
The show is now returning for season 6 which will comprise of four final chilling stories: ‘Future Pain’ by James Goss, ‘The Man Who Destroyed Torchwood’ by Guy Adams, ‘See No Evil’ by John Dorney and ‘Night Watch’ by Tim Foley.
John Barrowman will reprise his role as Captain Jack Harkness. He will be joined by Tracy-Ann Oberman as Yvonne Hartman, Paul Clayton as Mr. Colchester, Alexandria Riley as Ng, Samantha Béart as Oor, Jonny Green as Tyler Steele, Rachel Atkins as Ro-Jedda and Tom Price as Sergeant Andy Davison.
The finale will pick up where Aliens Among Us left off and will be titled God Among Us.
“They are really great stories in season 6, they really move the narrative forward,” said Barrowman. “I find all over the world, from Puerto Rico to Paris, from London to Pensacola Florida to South America, there are huge Torchwood fans and the audience is always growing.”
Season 6 will be released in October this year. Part 2 will then follow in February 2019 and the show’s final episodes will air next June.
