25,685 Babies To Be Born In Nigeria TOMORROW – UNICEF

Over 25,685 babies will be born in Nigeria on January 1, 2019, making up 6.5 per cent of the estimated 395,072 babies to be born on New Year’s Day globally, says the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF).

According to a statement by UNICEF Nigeria’s Acting Representative, Pernille Ironside, over half of the world’s births are estimated to take place in just eight countries, including Nigeria.Ironside noted that India would record the highest birth of new babies with 69,944, followed by China with 44,940, Nigeria 25,685, Pakistan 15,112, Indonesia 13,256, United States 11,086, Democratic Republic of Congo 10,053 and 8,428 in Bahladesh. He said that Nigerian babies would account for almost 40 per cent of those born in West and Central Africa, and more than 23 per cent of those born in sub-Saharan Africa.

“The L Word: Generation Q” Casts Four

The L Word: Generation Q is rounding out its cast.  The sequel from executive producer and writer Marja-Lewis Ryan for Showtime has added four name to its call sheet.  The hit lesbian drama has cast Arienne Mandi, Leo Sheng, Jacqueline Toboni, and Rosanny Zayas in series regular roles. The join original series stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig, and Leisha Hailey. Per Showtime, “Dani (Mandi) is a powerful and calculating PR executive whose ambition is only tested by her conscience. Micah (Sheng) is an earnest, soft-spoken adjunct professor who is forced to confront his fear of vulnerability. Sarah “Finley” (Toboni) is a charming but unfocused assistant who struggles to reconcile her sexual orientation with her religious upbringing. CBS All Access Renews “Strange Angel”

Strange Angel is coming back for a second season.   The streaming service has handed out a second-season for the scripted drama about the pioneer and occultist Jack Parsons.   The seriesת based on the biography S trange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons, stars Jack Reynor as Parsons.
