Dog Grooming Competition Coming to HBO Max

A comedy canine competition is coming to HBO Max. 

Celebrity dog groomer Jess Rona is heading to the streamer to serve as a judge on a new dog grooming competition show.

HBO Max has given the green light to the 12-episode, half-hour series Hot Dog (working title). Each episode will feature three dog groomers facing off against each other with a series of challenges. The series will also feature commentary from celebrity guests, while Rona will lead the judging panel.

“The L Word: Generation Q” Casts Four

The L Word: Generation Q is rounding out its cast.  The sequel from executive producer and writer Marja-Lewis Ryan for Showtime has added four name to its call sheet.  The hit lesbian drama has cast Arienne Mandi, Leo Sheng, Jacqueline Toboni, and Rosanny Zayas in series regular roles. The join original series stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig, and Leisha Hailey. Per Showtime, “Dani (Mandi) is a powerful and calculating PR executive whose ambition is only tested by her conscience. Micah (Sheng) is an earnest, soft-spoken adjunct professor who is forced to confront his fear of vulnerability. Sarah “Finley” (Toboni) is a charming but unfocused assistant who struggles to reconcile her sexual orientation with her religious upbringing. CBS All Access Renews “Strange Angel”

Strange Angel is coming back for a second season.   The streaming service has handed out a second-season for the scripted drama about the pioneer and occultist Jack Parsons.   The seriesת based on the biography S trange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons, stars Jack Reynor as Parsons. The first season also starred Rupert Friend, Bella Heathcote, Peter Mark Kendall, Michael Gaston, Greg Wise, Rade Šerbedžija, Zack Pearlman and Keye Chen. “We look forward to exploring the next chapter of Jack Parsons’ journey,” said Julie McNamara, executive vice president, original content, CBS All Access. “ Strange Angel and its talented cast and crew are the epitome of the type of programming we strive for at CBS All Access — daring, imaginative and unconventional.” Season one launched in June and wrapped its season in August.
