Annette Bening is in talks to join 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of Death on the Nile.  Per Deadline , the first to report the news, should the four-time Oscar nominee join the project she will play Euphemia in the Kenneth Branagh-directed feature.  The film is a follow-up to Branagh’s 2017 Agatha Christie adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express . Adapting the screenplay based on the 1937 fiction book is Michael Green Already on the call sheet are Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman, Letitia Wright as well as Branagh, who will be reprising his role as detective Hercule Poirot. Multiple outlets report that Liam Hemsworth is set to star in an action-thriller series for the new streaming service Quibi.  The short-form video platform from Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman will offer its viewers “quick bite content” (that means 10 minutes or less) mainly on mobile.  The series hails from Nick Santora who will write and executive produce. Phil Abraham ( Man Men ) will direct as exec produce.  According to Deadline , a desperate Dodge Maynard (Hemsworth), who wants to take care of his pregnant wife before a terminal illness can take his life, accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game where he soon discovers that he’s not the hunter… but the prey. Per a press release, the action thriller will explore “the limits of how far someone would go to fight for their life and their family.” Quibi is set to launch on April 6, 2020. Everything that’s worth making has to involve some sort of pain. Once I realized it was an important part of who Candyman was, I embraced it.
