A suspected drug baron, Michael “Mark” Ikenna, 36, has been arrested in Thailand for dealing in Cocaine. He was arrested along with his girlfriend, Nantana Chiewpanitch, 25 by the Thailand Regional Narcotics Police. Region 2 Narcotic Suppression officers captured Ikenna and Chiewpanitch in a sting operation conducted by undercover police who arranged to purchase 10 grams of cocaine in Takhiantia. On March 26. Officers seized 9.8 g. of white powder from him. According to Pattaya Mail, police found Chiewpanitch inside, as she denied involvement with drug dealing. She said she had only known Ikenna for a few months. A search by the police in their apartment in Bangkok, led to the discovery of nearly a gram of cocaine and hundreds of plastic bags. A 55-year old man, Abdulraheem Jimoh, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 12-year old girl at Mayegun area of Alagbado, Ilorin. The suspect was arrested by the Kwara Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC). NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Babawale Zaid, while parading the suspect on Tuesday at the state command, said Jimoh lured the minor into his shop with N100 and had carnal knowledge of her. Nigeria’s Senate President Ahmad Lawan has accused the United States of blocking life-saving Covod-19 vaccines from getting to the country, urging President Muhammadu Buhari to provide resources for local scientists to develop something ingenious. “The U.S. is not allowing vaccines to go out of U.S. The EU is not allowing the AstraZeneca vaccine produced in the UK to be sent out of the EU. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has raised alarm on the circulation of fake ‘Insulin tea’ taken by Diabetic patients. In a statement released on Sunday, March 28 by the Director-General of the agency, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, warned against buying or taking the fake tea because of its negative health implications. ”NAFDAC wishes to notify the public of the circulation of an unregistered and a fake product called insulin tea claimed to reduce blood sugar level and ‘delete’ sugar in the body. Please note that the NAFDAC number shown on the packaging of this product (Nafdac Reg. No. 01-8662) is fake; the insulin tea poses a danger to the health of the public. A German investor has claimed his life is in danger after his Kenyan girlfriend allegedly stole and disappeared with Sh5.4 million from his villa at Harbour Key cottages in Malindi. Reiner Hans Hermann Kreplin, 66, claimed Mercy Adhiambo Achieng took the money from the villa they shared together and has been receiving threatening messages from anonymous people since her disappearance. Kreplin said he was forced to abandon his house after the incident and has since been moving from one town to another fearing that his former lover could be trailing him with a gang. The investor said he had just returned to Kenya with a huge amount of money to buy a second villa at Harbour Key cottages which were to bear the names of the two, only for Achieng to take part of the cash and disappear. Olalere, who filed for divorce against Mariam, accused her of infidelity and attempts to elope with her lover.
