The Locke siblings will be coming back to Netflix for a second season. Locke & Key , a supernatural horror drama, debuted on the platform in February and it’s based on the IDW Publishing comic book franchise of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. Another stellar live-stream home concert has been announced.  CBS has scheduled an hour-long special featuring Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. Ryan Gosling is in talks to star in Project Hail Mary. Multiple outlets confirm that MGM is in exclusive negotiations to acquire the new sci-fi novel from The Martian author, Andy Weir. Should the actor board the project, in addition to acting he is set to produce the film. The story is centered on a solitary astronaut on a space ship who is trying to save Earth. Season three of the Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer-led psychopath drama is coming back for sooner than expected. AMC has announced that the show’s third season premiere has been moved forward by two weeks. Netflix’s 100 Humans is an eight-episode series that attempts to answer questions about life by exploring the details people often overlook. Unfortunately, it fails to capture the curiosity of what it is to be human and instead shapes up to be a dull series about meaningless facts that no one really cares about. The premise is simple. 100 people are selected to proportionally represent a cross-section of society. These people then have to take on a series of random tests. For example, they are asked to take toilet paper from a roll to test whether they take it from the bottom side up or the bottom side down. The tests get increasingly ridiculous with the most ridiculous being whether a man being a good dancer is indicative of a high sperm count. Seriously, who came up with this? It’s not to say that the show doesn’t have its good moments. Very occasionally, it does have moments when audiences will think “oh sure, I just assumed everyone did that the same way I did.” Beyond that,

Apple TV+ has unveiled the first trailer for Defending Jacob.  The first look at the Chris Evans legal drama arrived Wednesday.  Defending Jacob is based on the 2012 bestselling crime novel of the same name by William Landay. It tells the story of Massachusetts’ assistant district attorney Andy Barber (Evans) and what his family undergoes after his son, Jacob, played by Jaeden Martell is accused of murdering a classmate. The series also stars Michelle Dockery as Evans’ wife, Laurie. The series hails from director, executive producer, and showrunner Morten Tyldum. Netflix has unveiled the first look at its forthcoming animated feature The Willoughbys. The streaming service has a new animated film en route based on Lois Lowery’s classic children’s book.  The CG animated adaptation of The Willoughbys features the voices of Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, Alessia Cara, Terry Crews, Martin Short, Jane Krakowski, Séan Cullen, and Ricky Gervais and the narrator.  The film helmed and penned by Kris Pearn ( Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 ) follows the four Willoughby children who are convinced they will be better off raising themselves. The Lagos State Government is seeking to discontinue 566 non-active cases which have been in courts 2015 below, being prosecuted by the police. The decision followed the review of the recommendation of the Committee on Decongestion of Non Criminal cases at the State High courts and Magistrate courts. The committee had recommended that where such prosecution at the Courts have become impracticable due to delay and its attendant factors or are appropriate for Plea Bargain or criminal diversion, it should be discontinued. According to a statement issued on Wednesday, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), having critically examined the committee’s first phase review and recommendation, has instructed the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to immediately file a notice of discontinuance in respect of 566 non-active cases, at the registry of the State High Court and Magistrate Court. A coronavirus vaccine trial in the United State, US, has given a dose to its first participant. The study aims to enroll a total of 45 healthy adults over a six-week time frame. Each will receive two injections about a month apart in varying doses, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases says. The study, which is a Phase I trial, is meant to establish that the vaccine is safe and induces a desired response from participants’ immune systems. Proving that the vaccine is effective in preventing COVID-19 infection, however, will require follow-up studies involving many more participants – which will take many more months, experts say. “Finding a safe and effective vaccine to prevent infection with [the novel coronavirus] is an urgent public health priority,” NIAID Director Dr Anthony Fauci said in a statement. “This Phase I study, launched in record speed, is an important first step toward achieving that goal.” The trial is funded by NIAID and run out of the Kaise

All markets, malls and shops in Ondo state have been ordered to shut down for seven days, as part of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Governor Rotimi Akeredolu gave the order on Tuesday. Last week, the state closed all schools and banned political, social and religious gatherings for 14 days. Mr Donald Ojogo, Commissioner for Information and Orientation said only life-saving and sustaining items would be allowed. Also prohibited, until further notice, were gatherings at clubs, beer parlours and joints. The state executive council meeting on March 23 took all the decisions, to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. “Under this fresh directive, which is for a period of seven days in the first instance, only the sale of life-saving and sustaining items like food, water and medicals shall be allowed,” he said. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday announced two new cases of the novel coronavirus increasing the confirmed cases in the country to 46. One of the two new cases was confirmed in Lagos State with the other case in Osun State – its first case. The centre said both cases were returning travellers to Nigeria in the last seven days “As of 07:00 am 25th March, there are 46 confirmed cases of COVID19 in Nigeria. Rosario Dawson has been cast in the guest-starring role in the Disney+ series Star Wars: The Mandalorian.  The Briarpatch star will make an appearance on the second season of the series from creator, showrunner and executive producer Jon Favreau.  Dawson’s casting was confirmed after production on the season has already wrapped. Dawson will play Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice. The wait is finally over as on Sunday Glover officially released the album 3.15.20 onto streaming services. 3.15.20 is under the names Donald Glover and his alter-ego Childish Gambino and the album’s sequence is the same as it was on his streaming website, but it starts with what was assumed to be track 6. Only two of the tracks have titles, “Algorhythm” and “Time,” and the rest of the songs are the times of their point in the sequence like a YouTube video. A former Managing Director of Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, a subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Suleiman Achimugu, has died of Coronavirus . Achimugu, who returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom two weeks ago, started showing symptoms of the virus last Tuesday, according to findings by SaharaReporters. He eventually died around 2:00am on Monday after coughing severely for most part of Sunday. A family source told SaharaReporters that officials of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control were informed of his situation and even took his blood sample for testing but they never got back to his family until he died overnight. His blood sample tested positive for the virus. “NCDC officials came to the house and took his blood specimen.
