Nigerian gospel singer Tope Alabi’s daughter, Ayomikun, has reacted claims by Mayegun Olaoye, of being her biological father. Former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke has alleged that most weapons used by Boko Haram terrorists are obtained from security operatives. A drunk truck driver simply identified as Taiwo has died after he fell from a bridge into a river in the Kirikiri area of Lagos State. Taiwo had reportedly parked a truck on the bridge on Wednesday to have fun, but he got drunk in the process,  The Punch  reports. Newsmen learnt that while he was sauntering on the bridge, he slipped and fell into the river below and drowned. Some people who were at the spot at the time reportedly tried in vain to rescue the 32-year-old man, who lived in the Ifo area of Ogun State. The case was said to have been reported at the Kirikiri Police Station by one Ibrahim who owns the truck. A police source at the station told our correspondent that Taiwo’s corpse was recovered the following day. He said, “The deceased driver was reported to be drunk and did not know when he mistakenly walked to the tip of the bridge. He fell and people around the area tried to rescue him. A drunk policeman in Abuja has been rescued by passersby after they spotted him in an inebriated state while his rifle was seized from him. In a video circulating on the internet, a man could be seen pouring water on the officer who didn’t seem to be so much aware of his surrounding. The people berated him for being drunk at the time of the day and reported that his rifle was taken away by an unknown person so the officer would not shoot people in his inebriated state. Suspected Boko Haram members have reportedly beheaded 43 farmers in Borno state. According to HumaAngle, the attack happened on Saturday evening, November 28 in Zambarmari, a community that is less than 20km from Maiduguri, the state capital. ”Boko Haram beheads 43 farmers in one of the most horrific mass murders in the history of the insurgency. HumAngle learned the barbaric incident happened this evening in Zabarmari, less than 20 km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. The bodies of the 43 victims, all of whom had their throats slit, arrived Zabarmari. Residents, however, insisted they would not be buried until the state governor saw their bodies. Zabarmari is located in Jere LGA, approximately 20 km from the garrison city of Maiduguri.” Kano-based lawyer, Bulama Bukarti says according to a report by BBC Hausa, the farmers were harvesting their rice produce when they were attacked. Borno Senator, Ali Ndume, has been granted bail by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja. He was remanded in prison since Monday, November 23 following his failure to produce Abdulrasheed Maina in court. The senator stood as surety for the former Chairman, defunct Pension Reformed Task Team (PRTT). In a ruling delivered on Friday morning November 27, Justice Abang said he chose to grant the senator bail based on his record of good behaviour before the court. As part of the bail conditions, the Judge ordered the senator to produce one surety who must be a resident of Abuja and present evidence of ownership of property anywhere in Abuja. He also said the surety must also depose to an affidavit of means to indicate his readiness to forfeit the bail guaranty should the senator jump bail. He also ordered the senator to deposit his passport with the Chief Registrar of the court. He also ordered the lawmaker to file an undertaking that he would compile records of appeal
